STRAIGHT THROUGH

Various mirrors are mounted inside a box, blocking the sight axis through the openings on each side. At the same time, their positions create an optical window, as if you were looking directly through the box. The apparatus refers to the perceptual process: Light falls from the outside into our eyes and states nothing about where it came from. Neighter does the process of seeing inside our body. The in-between disappears completely and is not deducible from it. Therefore perception is to us like a window. Further the work generates a feeling of straightforwardness, whereas in our mind there is no such spacial connection between the outer space and the visual impression of it.
