|LISTENING TO THE HEARING
2012, tape recorder, pick-up head, speaker
Via a pick-up head, a cassette recorder captures the noises inside its shell, which it produces while recording. During the recording and processing of sound, there is also sound appearing inside of the recording device, but this is not part of what we are listening to. The process completly disappears. By applying a contact microphone the recording device becomes an instrument, a tone generator.
