PICTURING PICTURES

This series results from a research on images of impressionistic paintings in art history books. Due to the (bad) reproduction a whole bunch of totally different images is generated. This makes the imaging process itself appear as something that ain´t neutral or transparent but that changes the object by depicting it. Impressionistic paintings do not show the color of an object in neutral lightning but how it indeed appears under the given circumstances. This is simlilar to what these images do.
